[She smiles, ready to give him a kiss on his cheek and make those colorful markers appear. Her hand was even poised to magic them into existence!

Instead, she frowns and narrows her eyes at this shithead she loves so much.]

I think I'm going to turn you into a frog.

[he considers that and, without missing a beat:]

I would be the fastest frog.

[redchaos]

And you'd still only have purple markers.

[A speedy little frog would be cute, though. She's tempted. Just a little bit.]

[margenes]

[pietro is quiet and, realizes, that should she turn him into a frog (even in jest in a hypothetical scenario—because she wouldn't, right? right?), she would make him a purple frog just to annoy him.

whatever the case, wanda and her purple supremacy has the upper hand.

sighing, he sits up and leans forward, reaching to hold her hands in his.]

The dog is purple, okay. Can I have some more colors, pretty please?

[redchaos]

Was it that hard?

[His sister is easy to please, especially when it comes with a pretty please and admitting she's been right all along. Wanda leans in to press a kiss to the tip of his nose, and when she leans back, there are a few packs of very colorful markers on Pietro's lap.]

[margenes]

My pride suffers.

[he is happy for the markers, though. he was sure that wanda would eventually make sure that he got what he wanted, but there's probably a lesson here, somewhere.

time to return to his sketch of his sister, now grabbing both a brown and orange marker to color her hair properly.]

It has been a long time since I drew something.

[feels..nice...]

[redchaos]

[She watches him with a small smile, fiddling with the caps of colors he's not using.]

You can have whatever supplies you want. You could try painting. I could give you watercolors, acrylics anything.

[margenes]

I have never tried any of those.

[he colors all the brown and orange, mixing the shades together until he finds a balance he is satisfied with. he uses the orange to shade her face, and promptly presents the art pad to her.]

Just keep it simple. I like markers.

[redchaos]

[They didn't have the luxury of different mediums, growing up. And still her brother is quite the artist, and it really has no right to make Wanda so emotional, seeing his little portrait of her. But it does. Her heart swells in her chest.]

You made me look very pretty.

[She takes the art pad and has to simply hug it to her chest for a moment. It's that, or cry. She's kind of tired of crying.]

You can have whatever you want.

[margenes]

That is because you are, Wanda.

[sometimes, it's hard to remember their parents, but he images she must look just like their mother. he reaches to grab the art pad because hey, thief!

(though he recognizes the emotional weight that comes with this silly little drawing.)]

Could I have the art pad back?

[he could ask for anything, but, really? right now he just wants his sister to be at his side.]

[redchaos]

Are you going to make me enough art for a gallery?

[She smiles at him before handing it over.]

You are just trying to make sure I stay busy.

[he takes the art pad back, turns the page, and starts drawing circles and other shapes with his orange marker.]

It is not bad idea. [he says a little confidently, a little sheepishly.] I used to like doing this.

[redchaos]

It makes me happy, seeing you do the things you used to like. [Before their world exploded under their feet and then it was simply about survival and anger and revenge.]

I don't want you bored here, Pietro. Or feeling like... this place is too small. We can do anything. Go anywhere.

[Her newfound powers have to be good for something.]

We can draw all day and watch movies or go across the world. Whatever you want.

[margenes]

This place is the nicest home we have had in a long time, do not fret over me. I am still working on getting better anyway.

[it isn't a lie—and he knows that she will not stop fretting over him, regardless. still, he wants her to keep in mind that so far? so good. if he had something to complain about, she'd hear him grumbling all over the place.

he is drawn to a particular suggestion, though, and he scoots closer to wanda.]

How about I teach you to draw things that aren't beans?

[pietro asks, in sokovian, playful.]

We could do it together.

[redchaos]

[He could be as healthy as a horse and she'll fret. The fear of losing him again will always be there in the corner of her mind, but it's easily ignored now as he makes her laugh and respond in kind.]

What if I want to draw you? You're a bean.

[Is it an endearment or an insult? He can decide.]

[margenes]

A bean with a six pack?

[asking the real questions here. he's proud to be a #himbo, and he doesn't care how silly or corny he sounds for it.

pietro hands over the art pad and markers.]

Go ahead, let us see it.

[redchaos]

[Don't make her snort like that, Pietro.]

You've lost too much muscle to be bragging about six packs just yet.

[She uses a (capped!) marker to poke at his abdomen. He's not skin and bones, but he's lacking his strength, and she'll be happier to feel a little more meat on him when she hugs him. But Pietro burns off everything as soon as he inhales it, it seems. Lucky him.]

Don't watch me draw. I get shy.

[margenes]

I will brag because I know I will return to how I used to be.

[though he definitely does swat away the marker from poking at him.

for now, pietro will simply readjust himself so that he is lying face down on the bed, his head close to her lap, and instead of looking he will—well—put his head down on his arms as if he was cushioning it to sleep.

(prime position for getting his hair brushed by a stray hand, but he won't say as much.)]

I won't. I will just listen to Scooby-doo with my eyes closed.

[redchaos]

[He doesn't have to sat anything--as soon as he assumes position, her left hand reaches out to comb through his hair, the other picking out a blue marker and beginning to draw on the art pad balanced on her knee.]

You'll stay still for maybe three minutes.

[margenes]

I can promise more than three minutes if you continue with that.

[the combing.

(but he'll never say!!)]

Just watch.

[redchaos]

We'll see.

[She pets his hair and gives the back of his neck a little massage, too.

Her bean drawing is hideous.

He'll forgive her.]

[margenes]

[he will definitely forgive her especially since having his face trapped against the mattress while she twirls her fingers on the back of his head and neck is really nice.

he may just remain here flopped over all uselessly.]

Draw many beans.

[raising his hand and giving a casual wave. do continue drawing.]

[redchaos]

[She likes it. He's always so gogogo, even when on the mend, that getting him to willingly stay still like this is a treat. She's very much not an artist, deciding to give Bean Pietro (Bientro?) a grassy patch to stand on, a tree for shade, and speed lines. Gotta go fast.

All the while, she happily dotes on him, because she can do this if she can't have him tucked in her arms.]

*BIENTRO*

[margenes]

[combine nostalgia cartoons, the scratching of a marker on paper, and getting pampered—how is pietro supposed to survive this?]

I am falling asleep.

[a mumbled confession, because he is certain this will end at some point.]

How many beans?

You can sleep. I'm very busy with my beans.

[One bean on paper, one next to her on the bed. And a lot of trees, drawn in blue marker, because she's lazy.]
